38 Days Until Football Season Begins
Not that I watch the games but I thought I'd let those who are still in the closet better relate to their straight counterparts with this very valid information. And if you're an openly proud gay man who watches the sport, then you already know how far off the football season is. I'm still for the 20 something players in small towns who have yet to go professional. Maybe it's just a Texas thing...

Growing up in the South, I used to think that being a male was equated with sports and that my lack of interest in sports was a clear indicator of my sexuality. While I never hated sports, I've always been more into music [of the indie-rock/indie-pop variety--Sonic Youth, Pixies, old REM, Stereolab, etc, etc]. In my early twenties I discovered that, in fact, my fascination with music wasn't an indicator of anything.
There's a really large _STRAIGHT_ contigent of people who don't get off on the sports like most American men might. Just saying to any of you out there who might feel less male because of your apathy about sports, don't.
