For Those Of Interest . Animal Pak's Journey

While flipping through my latest issue of Muscle & Fitness, I came across a magazine ad for Animal Pak. The ad featured a larger than life man sitting on the bed as a nearly naked woman lies sleeping just behind him. The image alone grabbed my attention as ads are intended to do, so I started reading the text. This led me to Animal Pak's online "Journey".

Now I'm trying to fully get what the whole site is all about but I'm probably missing the point completely. All I know is the "journey" is in week 05 and will continue through week 18... or until the online public looses interest. I believe the guy featured in the Animal Pak online venture is only known as "Wrath" and the site does state that "Wrath's Journey will pick up again 4/7/06" but it's now almost May 1st and I don't really see an update.

Through most of the random quotes and images, I'm starting to feel depressed a bit... for Wrath. Is that the message? I doubt it. Like I said, I am probably getting the message completely wrong but check out the site for yourself. Maybe the guy should add some color to his life... rainbow shades of brightness!

MySpace . Magmozine's Profile

Magmozine.com's official MySpace.com profile is up and running. MySpace.com/Magmozine. I've gotten the editing bug and created a profile page to my liking. It's not overloaded with graphics that could possibly annoy some and when you visit my profile page, music and/or videos don't kick in giving you a PC scare. Everything is simple, clean and designed with eye pleasing style.

I've only been online for a few days and I'm impressed with MySpace. This website really does make you say "I don't know what I was doing before MySpace came along in my life". According to Tom's profile, the creator of MySpace, there are 74,536,806 people on his friends list. I'm shocked. But the real question is how many of them are gay? Or bisexual? God I hope half of that 74 million is either or.

One thing I've noticed about MySpace is the large number of "bi" guys. Sometimes they're as hot than the gay guys on MySpace, nearly all of the "bi" guys are posing shirtless and most are just completely open about their bisexual interests. Also, the majority of the "bi" guys have nearly all of their "top 8" profiles on their front page completely devoted to other shirtless gay and/or bi guys. My jaw dropped when I found out that so many bisexual guys exist on MySpace because I have never really encountered many through other male related websites.

There's even some profiles where they list their sexual orientation as "unsure". Amazing! I was even thrilled to get an email through my MySpace account regarding a guy who showed an interest in my blogs. He wrote "i love your site. i check it every other day. keep it up." So I then checked out his MySpace profile [he will remain anonymous] and saw that he labeled himself as "straight".

So then I wrote back with "Well thanks. I see you're under the label of "straight". Which site are you referring to?- wait... is anyone suppose to know you're checking a queer blog?" to which he wrote back "nope." I was floored. Simple moments like this in life shock me. I just figured everyone reading was openly gay. How naive of me to think.

I also have a few reality celebs on my friends list and some porn stars! Of course many people have a fake profile. Let's take MySpace.com's Alex & MySpace.com's Steve. Each have the same pictures of the same guy... so who's real? Or are they both fake? One says he's "in a relationship" while the other says he's "single". One profile is full on gay without saying it while the other is borderline bisexual. Either way the guy in the photo is about 19 years of age and is the type of guy where we all... Learn 2 Lust.

So just know that people will tend to lie on MySpace. It's your choice to sign up but it won't be your choice to get burned by some loser. Just don't meet up with some underage kid cause you just may end up on Dateline's next perv show.

As I write this I have about 89 friends on my profile now. Some have 2,482 friends while some have 15,290 friends. I've got a long way to go before I get there. MySpace.com is really all about making connections. I hope to expand my blog's interests to a whole new audience through this wonderful site so bookmark my profile if you'd like.

And when I'm ready... MySpace will be the first place I post an actual photo of me. Until then, I will remain anonymous though always working hard everyday to entertain you through my blogs.

Gentlemen Dishabille . So Cal Muscle

So Cal Muscle is a website I discovered in a recent search through Google. I'm going to be honest, I am actually very erect while I type because this site has turned me on so much that my heart is racing. Sometimes I can not explain the reason(s) why Gentlemen have an over powering sexual... control over me but they do. I even noticed Bob Patrick of UltraMassage.com making a photo appearance on the website.

Basically the website is a celebration of muscle, age and the Chicago 2006 Gay Games VII. In the "Meetings" section we also find out that one of their members is making a documentary about So Cal Muscle club. There's even a section devoted to Chris Woods, an openly gay actor who has done various Hollywood work.

I'm officially a fan of Steve Perkins, Danny Lemos, Martin Weber, Steve [picture below in the red shorts and blue cap] & the TWINS [pictured last]. Thank you So Cal Muscle for the tented shorts that continues to throb between my typing arms. You all are always an inspiration that life is meant to be lived.

If both of these Twins are gay... then the world is indeed my playground.

Magmozine Editor . MySpace Profile

This past week I've been getting into the world that is MySpace. So with that said, I have just opened up Magmozine.com's MySpace.com profile! There's what, 20 million profiles [most likely 10 million fake ones], I figured I'd try to get a wider audience for my blogs through the website. This is just another way for me to connect with gay MySpace users of interest. Also, those who are already readers of my blogs who just happen to have a MySpace account, let me know and let's be BFFWFOTS. Best Friend Forever While Fucking On The Side!

http://www.myspace.com/magmozine

Everything on the page is simple but I will forever be tweaking it and possibly adding my foto in the near future... maybe. I'll see you at MySpace.com!

Magmozine Editor . Ask Me A Question

This is your chance to ask the creator of AGuySite.com, Magmozine.com, GuyTVBlog.com & Micoofy.com anything. And I mean anything. I've done this Q&A thing before on my previous blog and you guys always seem to throw great questions my way and I hope to find a whole new batch of questions all week long.

Have you got something you've been dying to find out about me? Maybe you're wondering what this editor's personal opinion is regarding something you're dealing with. Or maybe you want advice on something you're not able to ask anyone else. All you have to do is to write a question in the comments area and await an answer. [and no, the image pictured above is not of me...]

The Gentlemen Interviews . BigMuscle.com

As Magmozine.com continues full steam ahead into its first year on the web I will continue to bring you new features, articles, interviews and endless photos featuring the male body at its very best. Today I present the newest Gentlemen Interview [with more soon to follow] for Magmozine.com. The interview subject(s) are men who are 40 years of ago and older. They are the Genltemen I respect, the Gentlemen that intrigue me and the Gentlemen that entice me. Magmozine readers, let me introduce you to Andy & Bill of BigMuscle.com, the creators of a popular free profile website for men with "fine physiques". Of course you're own definition of "fine physiques" is quite acceptable and valid over another man's opinion. Let's get started.

1. Tell us how you enjoy life.

The small stuff. We have been told by a few that simple little things seem to get us excited. It could be shopping for a new keyboard, or car, but we try to enjoy those little perks in life. Outside of that, we enjoy the island of Maui in Hawaii. We try to get there 2-3 times a year to unwind from computers. We have been there enough that all we look forward to is answering e-mails in the morning and lying on the beach in the afternoon.

2. BigMuscle.com, BigMuscleBears.com & NormalGay.com. Describe the effect these websites have had on your life as well as the gay community.

I can only say how it effected our life, how its effected the gay community is only second hand from the e-mails we receive. Prior to the sites, both Bill and I worked other jobs in the computer industry. I Andy was in technical Sales and Bill was a manager in an IT department. So I would work all day and at night and weekends, I would work on the web sites. Once it took off, Bill became more interested, for a couple of reasons, one he wanted a new job so doing sales and advertising on the web sites gave him that opportunity. We figured the donations from the members were paying the internet bill and that anything he could get from selling ad space he could live off of, and my full time job would cover the rest. It was a slow start, but we managed.

In July of 2005 we re-ran the numbers and figured I (Andy) could leave my full time job with a paycut, but the quality of life would offer us so much more. So what started as a fun project, turned into a full time job for both of us. We manage the sites 7 days a week and answer e-mails 7 days a week. But we enjoy it immensely, and I think the community it has built is really from the guys on the site that welcome new members and makes the site what it really is. Bill and I are just the janitors keeping the site clean and sparkling.

3. Give us your take on why online profiles continue to exist and grow in sizable numbers. Also, do you have any advice or guidance for those looking to build their online profile(s) on BigMuscle.com, BigMuscleBears.com and/or NormalGay.com?

Our sites are what we would call vertical or boutique markets. We are not trying to be everything for everybody. Though we have created sites for those guys that like to hang out with other members like themselves. It's just like the bars in San Francisco, you have leather bars, bear bars, young guys, old guys, you name it. The bars tend to cater to an age demographic to keep the guys coming in.

As for guidance on how to build their profile... Well that is easy, keep it simple and be honest. Everybody has their own reason for posting or adding what they want. I've heard comments as to why do we allow headless profiles, why do we allow people to lie about their age, employment, service.... We figure everybody has their own reasons and provided the follow the simple rules for each site, then its all good.

I tell the guys, if the headless profile is of a ripped guy, don't be sad that they didn't post a photo, just know you now know you have 1 less thing in common with them because you want the guys you meet on-line to show everything. We remove the fake profiles, but validating the other information is just tough and figure that's really the excitement of meeting somebody on-line where you get to ask those questions and find out more about them.

4. Gay Marriage, Voyeurism & San Francisco. Talk freely about each subject.

Gay Marriage - Bill and I have been together 15 years now. We want it for the tax breaks and medical breaks. We are self employed now, so instead of being able in the governments eyes to have a family account, we still have to buy separate accounts. There are just too many little got-ya's that we have to keep paying extra for. We did get married when they were allowing us to, but the state annulled it. One day soon we hope.

Voyeurism - Hummmm, are you talking about what goes on in the steam room at the gym or on the web sites :-) I think voyeurism is what makes BigMuscle work in some ways. Guys that would be afraid to shower in a gym will show off all on the sites. I think that working hard in the gym, then heck - why not show off what you have accomplished.

San Francisco - Well Bill loves it, I will always be an east coast - New Englander. I'm OK with it here, but will always dream of a country house in New England holding my cup of hot chocolate watching the snow come down. I lived it, and miss it. I'm like a 3rd grader who went out for recess and never came back in. Every snow storm was exciting to me (Andy).

5. The Bear Community. Tell us about your experiences within this community and why it currently has your heart and devotion.

For the record, Bill and I are squirrels. It's a quick story, of when we lived outside of Boston. We planned a bear weekend in Provincetown in the dead of winter, so a few months before we drove out to see what we could offer for the package weekend. One bar owner told us to meet her at the bar. We showed up around 11:00am on a Saturday. She already had a few on us. When we introduced ourselves, she said "oh yeah, you are the guys from the squirrels". Since then Bill and I joke about being Squirrels.

The Bear community. well we don't get out much so what we get from BMB is the community that we see/have. Heart and devotion - well I wouldn't say that, the managing of all the servers has that. When Andy started BM, Bill took the code and created BMB. Just figured it was needed because each group has different eating habits :-) We tend to to have BM and BMB meet and greets and on and off the record, I have had fun at both crowds. Its all about having that little something to start a conversation with. The sites gives us both.

6. Educate us about sex. (from your life experiences)

Monogamy - heck it's what works for Bill and I. I'm not saying others need to do it or they are "bad people" if they don't. That is not us. What has made us last together for the 15 years is just being true to each other. And a good sex life doesn't hurt.

7. Educate us about love. (from your life experiences)

Love, I read someplace that everybody has a different definition of love. And after I read that I looked at all of our friends in relationships and figured that was true. I can say both Bill and I adore each other. Bill is there when I'm sick, be it 2:00am driving to the drug store or me making him homemade bread and soup when he has a cold. Like we said before, it's the little things, that is the sum of the big picture.

8. Voice your opinion(s) on pop culture, politics and/or religion?

We could go on for a very long time about this, and I'm not about to get in a frenzy about any of this, Let just say, Politics are very scary now. We are not religious. We like the ShowTime show Bullshit with Penn & Teller. When they tried to find Elvis Presley's fried chicken recipe, they couldn't, there where too many differences about how to go about it, and that was only 20 years ago. So we are suppose to follow a book that nobody knows who wrote it that was written many many years ago. I don't think so.

Pop culture, as we get older we understand that advertisers are not so interested in our ad dollars, its the young that get solicited to. We are fine with that.

9. What's the best thing about being 45 & 48 years old?

Our credit cards are paid off, we only have 10 years left on our home mortgage, and we are both healthy. Life is good.

10. What's next from the creators of BigMuscle.com? Another online communal website? Or maybe a web venture into the pornography side of the net?

Well, we will be staying away from the porn side of things, with the government going after pornography in the name of protection of children, we won't be looking that way anytime soon. The most we might do is allow video on the site, provided it's video of themselves and not stolen content.

As for web sites. The next two in our target is a BigMuscleCollege and BigMuscleLeather sites. One for the 18-25 year olds, and anything to do with leather. The leather site might be more on hard x content, but we would need to figure out how to handle the 2257 reporting law to make sure that everybody in the photos were 18 and that we have the documentation to prove it. The college site we figure are for the up and coming BigMuscle guys. We know that many would be coming out at that time and maybe might be intimidated by some 45 year old hitting on them. Or when they are talking music they will find other guys that actually know the groups they are listening to.

Look for BigMuscleCollege in the next few months followed up by BigMuscleLeather sometime in September.

Any Last Words:

Last Words - well we have been very busy, we lost a test server at our home, so I have been working the last week to recover it and getting it working again, Nothing exciting, but doing what we have to. I'm not a blogger so really don't have much outside of the questions that were asked.

Actually thought of one thing. I do have a site that I have been running on the web for over 10 years. http://www.qod.com It's Question Of the Day. It's a site that runs itself, people submit questions and we have a fun set of people that come everyday to answer it and post funny and silly comments to the answers for the day. I think the wayback machine has some very funny old graphics of the site when I really didn't know about HTML coding. Not that I do still, but have learned a few things by now.

Magmozine.com Editor writes: Thank you Andy & Bill for your time and this entertaining & informative interview. I look forward to BigMuscleCollege the most as I am not into leather as others are but I do expect many, many and many anonymous college profiles as many still feel the pressure to stay in the closet. As for videos on your websites, that seems like it will be quite the ordeal to take on. I hope someone lends a helping hand in your direction on how to get this new feature started. Thanks again guys!

Magmozine Editor . Lesson Learned

If you've noticed YouTube.com has infected gay blogs and just blogs altogether because either we don't have much to say that day or we [blog owners] just want to share the beauty of free amateurish availability.

I get home around 2 in the morning to find a message from a person who claims to be featured in a YouTube video that was posted within the pages of Magmozine.com [a very GAY gay blog] and he apparently does not find it flattering that he's featured on Magmozine.com. I guess my blog is just too gay for him... and his masculinity.

He writes:
"hey man this is the guy who does the thumb push up im not not gay please take my thumb push up vid off of your site so that there is no link to a gay site at the bottom of my youtube vid page , i just don't like that"

The post was featured under the title Você Tubo . Virile Strength where I, Magmozine Editor, choose to display men, sexuality not an issue, their forms of Virile Strength.

After getting his message, I then took a recent late night trip over to YouTube's Terms of Use area and read that yes "For clarity, you [YouTube user] retain all of your ownership rights in your User Submissions" however it does state that "You also hereby grant each user of the YouTube Website a non-exclusive license to access your User Submissions through the Website, and to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display and perform such User Submissions as permitted through the functionality of the Website and under these Terms of Service."

This thumb guy did choose to post this content on a very public website but he did not choose to have it featured on a gay blog [video featured at the top of this post]. He was not malicious in his anonymous contact but he did express homophobic behaviour. He did choose to contact me to have it removed but he did not choose to have me write about this.

If a straight, [possible] homophob is s-m-a-r-t [tapping finger on temple] he could delete the video, repost it under a new title with text announcing he'd wished to not be featured on a gay blog and/or website. Of course since the YouTube.com website is based on the "sharing is caring program" his wishes may not be granted so easily by other bloggers because let's remember, YouTube also states under their Privacy Notice that "Any videos that you submit to the YouTube Sites may be redistributed through the internet and other media channels, and may be viewed by the general public." As well as the gay public.

Also, if you look at his YouTube profile one notices a very disturbing handful of videos that for some reason are not deemed inappropriate for the everyday visitor. Let's take a look below.

I mean no harm... but does he mean harm?

Update: Of course he doesn't mean harm. I'm being dramatic, as he is when he calls some images I have here as "SICK ASS PICS". He choose to remove his videos altogether from YouTube.com because he is unable to deal with a gay presence online. All he had to do on his YouTube video profile page was to type "Sorry fellas, I'm straight [insert sad face]" and that would have ended his many male email requests for gay ol' times.

I also just had another YouTube user, want2beripped, contacted me to tell me "Pleased you like my vids!" regarding his vids posted within the post Você Tubo . In Need Of Strength.

I apologize to the YouTube user currently upset with me and I only used the word homopobic because the definition does state "...disapproval, or fear of homosexuality, gay and lesbian people, or their culture". He did disapprove of his videos being on a gay site.

I'm not the first and last gay blogger to post YouTube videos. The problem is a person posts content on a public website where they have no control on what happens to their content. They can attempt to delete it but once it's posted publicly online, it will forever remain online to never be deleted. Lesson Learned.

Micoofy.com . Grand Web Opening!

It's time once again for my blog family to expand into a new web venture, Micoofy.com. I first announced this idea back during the finale of Disney Hunks week so for those seeking a deeper explanation then please check out the original post, Disney Hunks Week . Micoofy.com.

If you are currently enjoying the new blog then why not bookmark it, visit it daily or every other day, help me help you feed that silent Disney Theme Park addiction that you'll soon be embracing yearly. Spread the word to those who you'd think would apperciate it, blog about it if you enjoyed your recent visit to Micoofy.com or give the link to those take a trip to the Disney Theme Parks. There's a new Disney fan in web town.

Also, Micoofy.com will remain G rated so don't expect anything naughty. I'd like the new blog to be a site that the average GLBT family can enjoy as well as the average [yet understanding and accepting of our sexuality] straight web visitor. Micoofy.com is not here to place harm on anyone so anyone placing verbal malicious hard to Micoofy dot com... well you're just pure evil. Not fit for the Magic Kingdom.

Enjoy Micoofy.com!

Magmozine Editor . Back 2 Work

Magmozine.com returns to daily updates on Monday, April 10th! The "life events" happening this past week did involve the scare that is cancer but it turns out the tumor discovered in my loved one was benign and the scheduled surgery this past friday went smoothly with little to no complications. Amen. Prayers and believing in forturne cookie sayings do work. I ended up loosing the actual paper found in that cookie but the saying said something regarding that certain problems have quite unusual solutions.

Again, a big thank you to all those who emailed me and/or left behind comments via the April Issue post, all of your endearing words did mean something to me.

If you haven't noticed the April MV [music video] located on the right panel then you're missing out on the next big dance single for those seeking a new vocal talent engulfed within visual [female] sexuality. I present Mish Mash's Speechless. Let's just say that after I heard the possible cancerous tumor was benign... I was speechless.

The video is featured in windows media format and runs just under four minutes, just click the image below to begin the video. Of course one is unable to purchase the track via iTunes USA but fear not UK iTunes users, the track is online for purchase. This song did help with my personal celebration once returning home from a very stressful week.

Magmozine . April Issue

Dear Magmozine Readers,

This week Magmozine.com & GuyTVBlog.com will be silent due to some recent life events that may result in the loss of a loved one. I have, to some degree, kept my private life off of the pages of Magmozine.com but this current situation may- will have my mind elsewhere. I am of course thinking of the worst and hoping for the best [I'm in need of strength] and I just can't focus until the doctor calls and surgery is still an option. I thank you for taking the time to read this and I'll see you in a week's time [or sooner if the news turns out better than expected].

Until I Return,
Magmozine Editor

Update: Surgery [not on me] is now scheduled for Friday... Until the words "everything went fine" is delivered then I'm not okay. Thank you for those commenting leaving their well wishes behind and thank you for those contacting me directly through emails. By Friday night I'll either be in mourning or I'll be enjoying life again with my loved one. Check back here Saturday Morning for details.
